Resident Services

We designed our Resident Services Program to help residents meet a variety of needs, maintain stable housing, and participate in community activities. We can provide referrals to local services, help you set achievable goals, and support the creation of community activities and events based on your interests.

As a tenant of a WNHS property, you are invited and encouraged to connect with us when you need help or guidance.

Information and Referral

When you move into a WNHS property, we will provide you with a welcome and orientation packet that highlights ways to get involved in your community and enjoy your new home.

If you’re having financial or housing difficulties, we can direct you to community service organizations that provide assistance. In addition, we offer Dollars and Sense Workshops that will help you gain knowledge and confidence about money-related matters such as budgeting, saving, and credit. Through our HomeOwnership Center, we help renters become homebuyers.

Some of the organizations we can connect you with can help you arrange for:

  • Housing and rent assistance
  • Food and household items
  • Clothing
  • Furniture

Goal Setting

Everyone has a different definition of success. We can help you establish goals and a plan to reach them. The goals could include:

  • Improving your financial situation
  • Helping your child succeed in school
  • Becoming a volunteer

Whatever the goal, success is hard work. So we’re here to help.

Community Building/Leadership Development

We know that when you have a say in your community and have access to fun and informative activities, you enjoy your home more.

We can help you:

  • Start an official tenant organization
  • Address a problem in the community
  • Offer activities and events at your property
  • Work with property managers
  • Meet other resident or community needs

As a resident of one of our housing projects, we will work with you and your neighbors to help you experience safe, healthy neighborhood living. We assist in activities such as organizing neighborhood associations, community gardens, and after-school programs for children.

We will also meet with you periodically to learn about your experience living in a WNHS property.

Rebecka Weinsteiger, our Community Engagement Manager, is available by telephone at 541.752.7220 ext. 312, by email, and periodically at your apartment complex.

Resident Services is an optional program to benefit you. Your participation is completely voluntary.

We are required to provide certain information to regulatory bodies and funders. Such reports allow us to continue providing services to you.
